University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) was founded in 1822. The University’s Royal Charter is the oldest of any university in Wales and England after the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. UWTSD has five campuses in Lampeter, Carmarthen, Swansea, London and Birmingham, and one learning center in Cardiff. UWTSD has strong and comprehensive disciplines, including Art and Design, Computer Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, History, Archaeology, Education, Business, etc. It has carried out multi-level cultivation of undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programmes, with over 27,000 students. UWTSD is highly recognized by major UK authorities such as The Times, The Complete University Guide, The Guardian, and TEF in terms of educational quality, academic level, and student satisfaction.

UWTSD is committed to international education, and has established strategic cooperation with Nankai University, Lanzhou University, Wuhan University of Technology and many other well-known universities in China. In 2023, the Sino-foreign cooperative college run by UWTSD and Lanzhou University, Lanzhou University Wales College, was successfully approved by the Ministry of Education of China.
