The Richmond School District provides world class education options for students ages 5 to 18 with programs designed to support their personal and educational goals. We have 10 secondary and 37 elementary schools with approximately 22,000 students. Each year, we welcome over 1,000 international students to our short- and long-term programs. Students come to develop language, experience Canadian culture and to learn in a safe and welcoming community on Canada’s beautiful west coast.
In addition to B.C. curriculum, we offer diverse specialty programs and elective courses including Advanced Placement(AP), IB, engineering, robotics, broadcasting, graphic design, and fine arts. We are a leader in English Language Learning (ELL) assessment, curriculum, development and student achievement.
Established in 1906, we are the 5th largest public school district in the province of British Columbia (B.C.). Since 1998, we have welcomed and helped thousands of international students from over 30 countries obtain a world-class education while studying in our public schools. We have consistently one of the highest achievement rates in B.C. for both domestic and international students.
