University College Cork (UCC), as one of the three Queen's Colleges, was founded in 1845 and is one of the oldest universities in Ireland, located in Ireland's second largest city and the largest city in the south of Ireland - Cork City.

QS World University Rankings by Subject 2022 National University Cork of Ireland ranks among the world's top universities with nine disciplines in the top 200 by subject, including nursing (41st in the world), Agriculture and forestry (59th), Pharmacy and pharmacology (66th) and Law (75th) among the top 100 in the world. Both ranked first in Ireland.
